It is becoming obvious to most of us that we need to start treating the planet Earth more respectfully if it is to be able to sustain us all into the future. We seem to have a choice: to continue to ignore the fact that our ecosystems are breaking down under the stress we subject them to, or to wake up to the common thread that runs through all life and all things in our environment. Yoga, Tantra and Advaita encourage us to recognise that everything, including Mother Earth, is an expression of one Reality. As such, we start to treat other people, other creatures and our environment with compassion and reverence. This will have a positive impact on the world in which we live.
