We live in a world of constant change and movement: thoughts, emotions and the sensory impressions of the ever changing world in which we live. So why do the Sages talk of Stillness and Silence so reverentially?
And what of ‘Spaciousness’? Swami Nishchalananda uses this word to describe the sense of space, inner and outer, which arises as we move closer to the Meditation state. As a practice, spaciousness can be used as a stepping stone to a greater Stillness which is behind the world of time.
