As the editor of this blog, I’ve gone through all the archived recordings of Swamiji’s teachings on the Vigyana Bhairava Tantra from around 20 years ago. In terms of audio clarity and the breadth of content, the recent series that Swamiji did via Zoom is the best that I’ve found (and Swamiji is with me on this of course).
The participants of that course paid a registration fee to be able to listen, so it’s a condition of using those recordings that we also charge a small registration fee. So once again, we are putting a paid series on this blog.
The cost of this six part series will be nominal at £15. Each session will contain three or four guided dharanas (practices) taken from the original text. These are condensed and unique meditations which you will not find elsewhere, presented in a way that I think you will find brings spaciousness and clarity to your practice, even through the medium of a recording. Two sessions are already published, the remaining sessions will be published at approximately weekly intervals.
Earlier on this blog we also produced a series of Swamiji’s teachings on the Bhagavad Gita. In line with the price of this latest series on the Vigyana Bhairava Tantra, we have reduced the price to £15.
This post is open to comments (below). We welcome feedback on the blog and these two courses.
Both myself as editor, and Swami Nishchalananda as the source of material and inspiration, will continue to work on this blog as the best platform for presenting his archived material along with some more contemporary recordings. Your appreciation of the blog and its posts is probably the most significant reason why we continue. Swamiji is doing live courses still occasionally, I don’t believe he will ever stop teaching while he draws breath, and it is my pleasure to continue this editorship service in my retirement as long as it’s needed and appreciated, despite having commitment to Karma Yoga in Zambia with my projects there.
Thanks, Narada.
Here’s a four minute introduction from Swamiji on the purpose of the practices.
