This recording is an introduction and a guided reflection to
Agya Chakra.
The text books, especially those written by Swami Nishchalananda (see ‘Books’ in the header menu), give the standard definitions of the chakras such as location, bija mantras, symbolism etc..
These recordings add a contemporary exploration of the different aspects of each chakra with respect to our individual lives and the expression of our personalities.
The two petals of this depiction of Agya Chakra represent balance within the command centre. Balance between left and right brain hemispheres, balance between the Sympathetic and Parasympathetic neural control systems, balance of the inner and outer worlds. But in some depictions it has 96 petals, representing different faculties, many only developing as the chakra becomes more ‘awakened’. Things such as clairvoyance, clairaudience and many more.
