The next two sessions in the Vigyana Bhairava Tantra series are now live. Subscribers to the series can find them in the subscription section on the main menu or the link on the front page, or by clicking on the link below.
The sessions are in depth explorations of some of the dharanas (practices) from the text, with Swami Nishchalananda’s unique explanations of some of the more reflective practices such as dharana 102, ‘Contemplation of the Ineffable’.
‘Contemplate on That which cannot be known as an object, grasped by the mind, nor even imagined.
It is the essence of the void (space) and penetrates even non-existence.
The culmination of such contemplation is enlightenment’.
This profound statement, although expressed in words and ideas, cannot be comprehended by the mind. Swamiji takes us through a process which gives the possibility of the deeper intuitive wisdom to be triggered by the concepts of the dharana.
Or the simple beauty of the ‘Heart Lotus’, dharana 26.
In a delightful visualisation, Swamiji quotes the words of the agriculturalist and compassionate human being George Washington Carver,
‘When I touch that flower, I am not merely touching that flower. I am touching infinity. That little flower existed long before there were human beings on this earth. It will continue to exist for thousands, yes, millions of years to come’.*
